💡 External & Lighting Checks

  • Are the headlights/taillights working?
  • Are the brake lights working?
  • Are the indicator lights working?
  • Is the windscreen clean and undamaged?
  • Are the wipers and wash fluid working?
  • Are all mirrors clean and properly adjusted?
  • Are there any obvious signs of body damage?

🚚 Cabin & Safety Equipment

  • Are the seatbelts undamaged and working correctly? 
  • Is the horn working? 
  • Is the fire extinguisher (if required) present and charged? 
  • Is the First-Aid Kit present and fully stocked? 
  • Are all warning lights OFF after starting the engine? 
  • Is the fuel level sufficient for the trip?

🛞 Tires & Wheels

  • Do all tires appear to be correctly inflated?
  • Is the tire tread depth acceptable (legal)?
  • Are the wheel nuts/covers all present and secure?

🛑 Brakes & Steering

  • Do the brakes feel firm (not spongy) when tested?
  • Does the parking brake hold the vehicle securely?
  • Is the steering free of excessive play or noise?

🛌 Fatigue and Wellbeing Check

  • Are you well rested and alert to drive?
  • Are free from the influence of drugs and alcohol?
